  Say Goodbye to Avelo Aviation Talk: Being associated with the airline industry and aviation as a whole for a number of years, I think I have a pretty good understanding of how things work. That being said, it's tough for airlines to maintain a descent load factor to make money at small to medium markets unless you are the dominating carrier. Deregulation played a major role in that back in the 70's. Some of you may remember that. Having two airlines serving one city at two different airports (ie: Sanford and Orlando International) most likely doesn't have the demand necessary to keep both airlines making money, so somebody has to come up with a great marketing scheme to draw the passengers in - or you end up not being able to make it and thus pulling your services all together.
